On A Roll

Bench for Liberty Village Business Improvement Area (LVBIA) Art Benches Program. Playful rendition to reflect playful , dynamic character of neighbourhood. The design references the history of the railroad in the area. In the 1850s, both the Toronto, Bruce and the Great Railway laid tracks across the community, cutting it off from rest of the city and altering plans to develop the area for residential purposes. The different types of wheels used and colour reflects this history; the Past, Present and Future. The title, On A Roll also makes reference to the modern and forward thinking character of the Liberty Village neighbourhood.
